Reuth’s Sheltered Housing – a safe place to live
Historically, Reuth’s sheltered housing was the organization’s first project,
and the initial basis for its establishment. When first opened, the sheltered housing complex provided a solution for elderly immigrants from Europe, who came to Palestine under the British Mandate during and after WWII. Over the years, thousands of people have found a home and a roof over their heads in Reuth’s three sheltered housing sites in Tel Aviv. Today Beit Bracha and Beit Achva target independent, low-income senior citizens, who are able to care for themselves and lead a productive, self-reliant life within the framework of a multi-unit building complex that is an integral part of the community.
