The Reuth Medical Center for chronic care and rehabilitation is the largest hospital of its kind in Tel Aviv, with 310 beds, a day rehabilitation center and outpatient clinics. It was founded in 1961, when Reuth’s nursing home moved from the center of Tel Aviv (290 Dizengoff St.) to the hospital’s present location in Yad Eliyahu.
At first the facility was named Beit Lichtenschtadter at the donors’ request. Over the years the hospital saw continuous growth, and today it is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center. The new medical center also absorbed the modest Beit HaMarpe facility, which operated in northern Tel Aviv under Prof. Moses.
